Operation Desert Fun is an annual event at Ocotillo Wells State Vehicle Recreation Area. Camp is set up just west of Main Street. One of the Geared 4 Fun members, Angela Cook, is a co-chair of this event, so there is usually a good turn out from the club. Sheri and I hosted one of the poker run stops this year. Our theme was "Pirate's Cove" and we both dressed the part and attempted to have the aaarg pirate accent.

We ended up going on an easy run with the event to the Pumpkin Patch since I wasn't interested in driving the Willys 25 plus miles on the highway to get to the other runs at Superstition and Pinyon Mountain.
